Going Deep

I lay on my mat.
It's pink.
Pink isn't my favorite color, if you ask me,
But maybe it truly is.
My teacher tells her story.
I think about mine.
I explore my insecurities.
Where did they come from?
The accident?
The end of my swimming career?
I move forward.
How do I overcome these insecurities?
Embrace.
Drink them in.
Breathe.
Keep moving.
Feel the strength coming into my limbs.
Become aware of her voice.
Open my eyes.
I'm a new person.
