On another note, Mark and I are starting to look into houses. We talked to a realtor today who gave us a list of houses to look at. Sometime soon we'll go looking at houses and deciding what we really want. For those of you who own houses already, what were some random things you forgot to think about but you really wish you would have? (For example, which direction the house is facing with regards to sun, snow, etc.) Also, what kinds of questions do we need to ask the realtor, lender, etc? Any and all input would be appreciated here. And if anyone wants to come hang out at our new house when we get one, we'd love your company!
Finally, here's a picture of a creature that gave me the heebie jeebies. I found him wandering the living room floor yesterday as I was cleaning up. Gross!

if your house faces south, the snow melts faster and there is less shoveling!!- but you need to remember to wire your door decorations and do not hot glue!- definatley need a garage in logan- you gotta hate scraping windows every morning! where ever you hang out the most should be larger rooms than the rest- just a few things to think about!
Here are my thoughts on owning a home:
I love that my house faces South. Definite bonus about the snow melting! We usually have a dry driveway and our neighbors across the street still have icey permafrost!
Big trees are nice.
Look for a quiet street without a lot of traffic.
Be aware of what the neighbors houses around you look like...do they keep up on their yard work, do they even have grass? Are there 20 cars up on blocks in their front yard? Do they listen to loud music? Stuff like that.
Look for a large kitchen/dining room. I get so frustrated because my dining room is so small so it's hard to have dinner guests over.
Central Air is awesome, swamp coolers make my hair frizzy.
I wish I had a master bathroom.
It's not a huge deal, but the laundry room on the main floor would be nice to have.
A fenced in backyard is nice for pets and children.
Maybe I should have just emailed you! I guess I've learned a lot in the past 6 years that we've lived here. :) If I think of anything else I'll let you know.
I don't know anything about buying a house, but I know a thing or two about teaching kids. And when I say a thing or two, I literally mean one or two things.
1. Don't talk down to them, they'll get the concept with the correct terms. And if they don't, they will ask. Then just explain with simple, but not you're-an-idiot terms.
2. Primary songs contain a lot of deep doctrine. Stuff that isn't even mentioned in missionary discussions sometimes. Use the primary songs in your lessons, kids love them anyway.
