Fiance FAQs

Where did you meet?
Math class; Differential Equations and Linear Algebra, to be exact.

What is he like?
Well, what do you want to know? Obviously he's cool, or else I wouldn't be marrying him.

Have you set a date?
January 3rd for the wedding. The reception will be the night before, as it is less important.

How long have you been dating him?
He proposed to me exactly one month after our first date.

How did he propose?
Through a fortune cookie. If you check earlier on my blog, you'll see that our first date was at Panda Express (also his favorite fast food place.)

Where does he work?
He's one of the managers at Domino's.

What's his major?
Electrical engineering.

Where do you plan on living?
To save money, we're going to live with his mom in his brother's house (his brother is currently in Washington DC), at least until May. If we decide to move out after that, then so be it, but for now, we're living there. It's a nice house, and we like it.

Where do you want to be married?
We're getting married in the Mount Timpanogos temple, but I'll be recieving my endowments in the Logan temple.

Don't you think it's too fast to be getting married?
I personally don't think it's fast enough sometimes, but when it's right, it's right. We don't see the point in waiting. We have eternity to get to know each other, but for now we're committed to each other and we're willing to work together to fight anything against us.

Do you have a ring?
No, we haven't yet found what I'm looking for, but we'll be getting one soon.

Well, I can't think of anymore questions off the top of my head, but if you think of any I should add, let me know and I'll update soon. Thank you for all of your support! We love you!

Before the Pains of the Flesh

Chris, Laura, Mark and I went hiking last week, and I forgot to put up some of the pictures we took. I also forgot to tell everyone that Mark brought me a dozen roses last week on my lunch break for no reason. He is so sweet! Here are these awesome pictures.

I got a haircut today! It's pretty cute. I think there was one more thing, though... Oh yeah. I'm engaged.

Pains of the flesh

I got my wisdom teeth out this past Thursday, and haven't been able to update my blog until just now. Well, I have been able to, but have chosen not to. The pain didn't actually start kicking in until Saturday, but it's been getting worse by the day. Hopefully my cheeks will start feeling better soon. Whoever had the camera at the dentist's office got some pretty sweet shots! I was awake the whole time, on pain killers and laughing gas. Don't ask me why I think not sneezing is hilarious. I think it was the drugs. Here are the sweet pics!

That laughing gas is too much fun.

Reprimanded

Sorry Mom. I mean to call, I really do. I also mean to update my blog on a regular basis. However, most of my time is spent studying, working, or being with Mark.
For all those who don't know, I brought Mark home with me this past Saturday to spend some time with my family. It had been a while since I saw them, so I wanted to go see them. We had a great day. The drive down and back was great because we got to spend the time getting to know each other better on a very personal level. Things seem to be going great, and I'm very happy.

Saturday was spent with all of my favorite people (that is, if I had favorite people, these would be them). Except that I didn't get a picture with my darling mother for some reason. Next time for sure. We are looking a lot alike these days.

Aren't these kids cute?
Thanks for the reminder, Mom. I love you!

So Here's the Thing...

I know, I know. It's been a really long time since I last posted. But here's the thing: I've been way busy.

Since the last time I wrote, I've been on two dates with Mark, visited Fisher in Ogden, and General Conference happened. Plus, I took a couple tests and turned in some homeworks, etc.

So, G.C. I absolutely love G.C. All of the talks were so great and wonderful that I couldn't pick a favorite if I had to. I love listening to our prophets' voices; they truly are the voice of God on the earth today. There is no doubt in my mind that this Church is true. I'm so grateful for the guidance the Lord is blessing me with throughout my life, especially at Conference time.

Visiting Fisher in Ogden was a great way to prepare myself for Conference. She is my best friend, and I rarely get to see her. I love spending time with her, and I'm so glad that she is my friend. She is too good to me, and I don't know how she puts up with me. Thank you babe for letting me come down! I love you!

Lastly, the two dates with Mark. The first one (technically our second date) was on Conference Saturday. We went hiking up to the Wind Caves in Logan Canyon. It was so beautiful! The leaves are changing colors right now, and it was great to be up on the mountain where I could feel the spirit of God's nature. He and I had a great time hiking up there. Definitely recommended. I'll see if I can badger him into sending me the pictures we took so that I can post them for you all to see.
The second date (technically our third date) was tonight. Homecoming is on Friday, but since we both have to work on Friday, Mark had a great idea to dress up really nice and go out to eat. After that, we went to see the Ten Tenors, an amazing singing group from Australia. It was a great concert. (Hey, Mom.. if you're wondering what I want for Christmas this year, their CD's (plural) are a GREAT idea!) After the concert we went to Cold Stone for ice cream. It was great. Here is a picture from tonight:

Don't we look good? I think so.

That's all for now! Hopefully I'll get some more good pics to put up here. It's getting boring.
