Back In Bit-ness

Ok, people. My little sister just convinced me to try again at the marathon training thing. If you didn't already know, I tried a couple of months ago to start running. However, my heart rate gets quite high, and I get very out of breath when I try to run. Here is how she convinced me:
(In text messages)

Mel: When is that marathon? And how long is it?
Me: I'm not running it..
Mel: Why?
Me: My heart doesn't work as well as it's supposed to.. But if you want to I'd cheer you on!
Mel: Well that's lame. I was gunna start training today to go with you
Me: I'll walk/jog it with you, but running is not physically possible for me
Mel: When is it? If its soon I wont be able to run it either but I could walk/jog
Me: Moms birthday.. Sept. 19.. (New text message): You going to run it?
Mel: I want to but I wanted to go with you
*At this point, I realize she kind of wants this as a sister bonding thing. When I first asked her to join me, she said no, but now she's saying she wants to go with me. *Tug at heartstrings..**
Me (the pushover): I can try, but it really scares me when I run.. Maybe we could do a jog/run combo instead of walk/jog
Mel: Ok! You gotta start training though to get your heart strong
Me (trying to get out of it): I'll try.. It would be cool.. You know a marathon is 26 miles, right?
Mel: Ya I know! I'm starting training today
Me: Ok
