Invites!

So, the invitations are out, and for all those who read this blog and didn't get an invitation, I'm sorry. We'd ordered 400, but ran out. I'm looking into getting more invites, but who knows if they'll be out on time? So, here's the best i can do for now:

Print that off.

Dum Dum Da Dum

Holy Moses. I had no idea that planning a wedding could take so much out of someone. Mom and I spent about 5 hours last night working on getting the invitations addressed and ready to mail out. My thinking is that 5 hours is probably really fast for this type of thing.

Today I had my hair dyed so I can be way sexy for my wedding. Not that I'm not sexy right now, but this color makes me look even better (except for the baggy eyes - the color doesn't help with those).

Jo at the dentist's office was singing Christmas songs in the shower this morning.

That's all.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

What are the lions? They are the worst of the three. Finals. They're the type to hide in the background, quietly sneaking up behind you, then all of a sudden they jump on you from behind! And they always kill the one who is falling behind the rest of the group. Isn't that interesting?

What are the tigers? I have no idea.

But the bears are wedding plans. From a distance, and when stuffed, they are cute, cuddly and friendly to all the little children. In reality, however, they are big, scary and mean. So, wedding plans aren't necessarily mean, but they do take quite the effort. For instance, bridal registries. How much stuff do you have to register for? It all. What a task to tackle, huh? Lucky for me, Mom is doing most of the other planning (bless her heart). I can't even imagine at this point all that she's done for me. Again, lucky for me, I'll be planning my daughters' weddings, assuming I have daughters.

So those are the lions (tigers) and bears of life in Logan. Hopefully I'll get the pictures from our friends of our past activities so I can post them. Otherwise, you're all missing out!

Overdue

It has been an awful long time since i've put any pictures on here. So, here are some from the past little while.

This is Emma. She's one of Mark's nieces. We met while Mark and I were in Spanish Fork the weekend we had our engagement pictures done. Emma is about 2, and doesn't have a vast understanding of questions, so when you ask her how she's doing she says, "I don't know. I'm two." She was so fun to be around.

This is my ring! Most of those who read this blog have seen it already, but for those who haven't, here you go.

Aunt Carrie already posted some pictures from when the boys were up here to visit, but I had a couple cute pictures that I can't help but put up.

And last, and certainly the best, are some pictures of my best friend ever, my fiancee.

Holy Moses

My goodness has it been a long time since I've posted something on here, or what?! Well, I guess there's a lot I could say, but I don't have much time before my next class so I've got to make this kind of quick.

Life is beautiful. Have I ever told you that before? Granted, it's overcomplicated at times, but when I stand back and look at all of the many many blessings God has given to me, I'm overcome with feelings of gratitude and happiness. I'm grateful for Mark. Although I have only known him a short time, I feel like we have been best friends for years. He knows my thoughts, my moods, what I'm going to say next, and what I ate at my last meal (we were probably together for it anyways). There is no other person I want to spend eternity with. (Good thing, too, since we're getting married in 32 days!!!) He knows how to make me happy when I don't even want to be happy. Can I say it again? Mark is amazing.

School is getting crazy right about now. Classes are coming to a close, final assignments and final projects are getting close to being due, and final tests are the week after next. These things stress me out beyond belief. But there is one thing I learn from this: knowledge is worth working for. If everything I know was handed to me on a silver platter, would I appreciate it? Likely not.

And so it goes. My life is amazingly busy but is the best it can be. Mark and I are going on a date tonight to the Cherrie Call Christmas Concert. We're also making gingerbread houses. Hopefully I'll get some pictures of that up on this thing tomorrow or the day after.. or next month. I guess it all depends on how I feel. Until next time...
